Lifeguard & Jr. Lifeguard Classes

We offer StarGuard Lifeguard Classes four times a year.  This class covers water rescues, CPR, AED, & First Aid training, and team emergency management. William Shore Pool frequently hires new lifeguards after completing this class.

For youth 11 - 15 years of age - try our Junior Lifeguard Class!  We cover the same skill techniques and even offer an opportunity to shadow on-duty lifeguards!

Parent and Child

Each 30 minute class is designed for parent and child interaction to develop comfort in the water. Children ages 6 months - 3 years of age will benefit from this beginner level. Children progress in this class through the use of games and songs. With parents' support, children will begin learning skills such as kicks and floats. Note: Children who are not yet potty trained must wear plastic pants over a cloth diaper or a swim diaper while in the water.

Learn to Swim
